Sin Guía, No
This former comedian's ability to take your breath away hasn't faded in the five years since her last album. Wed21 shimmers with Molina's trademark haze of gauzy vocals, fuzzy beats, curiously utilized acoustic strings and neo-folkloric rhythms -- each one piled on top of and snaked through the others. Just when you start to feel lost in all the texture (and just when her minor third singsong gets same-same), she rips through it with a playful new world like "La Rata"'s cuatro punk or the thumpingly nuanced title track, which is the sonic equivalent of a guerilla-knitted street sign.
